Google launched emergency live video on Wednesday, which allows people to record videos while calling emergency responders. This feature can help respond to the first additional context in situations like car accidents, fires, or medical crises.
No setup is required to use this feature. However, during an emergency call or text, the dispatcher can send a device request. Then you can choose to share the live video of the camera, which is encrypted and can stop at your discretion.
“With one tap, you can start safely from the camera, allowing the responder to quickly assess the situation and get you the right help in the moment,” Google wrote in a Blog PostSee rank-. “This realistic view can also help them guide you through life-saving measures, like CPR, until help arrives.”
Google and Apple each offer security settings on their devices, like emergency notifications, crash detection, crash detection, fall detection, and satellite location services.
