Speaking to FRANCE 24’s Sharon Gaffney, Lynette Ong, a respected professor of Chinese politics at the University of Toronto, says the removal of General Zhang Youxi, senior vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission, is just the latest in a long series of purges and calls into question President Xi Jinping. Zhang Youkia is under investigation for suspected serious violations of discipline and law.
