St Helens dramatically moved to the top Betfred women’s super league as the last minute turned attempted 22-20 wins at Lieds Rhinos.
In the topsi-turvic competition, all the way to the AMT Hellegley Stadium last night, St Helens stated 12-4 at halftime before hosts fought to encourage 20-16 forwards with 13-16.
But the match turned at four minutes left at the clock when the captain Rhino Mel Howard missed the sentence, which was given for high accessories, in impact that would effectively win the match for Leeds.
Two minutes later and, after the high ball caused the confusion in Lids, former Rhinos Star Caitlin Casey – half-leaved Leeds at the end of last year – it moved in the corner to try the results.
Faye Gastkin then turned the next blow to give St Helens an amazing victory in two points.
Playing one game at the beginning of the action of the weekend, St Helens is now one point that is in front of Wigan, which is hosting Huddersfield on Sunday at the top of the Super League.
Leeds remain fourth with now the more victories, three, as a defeat in the first seven games this season.
