Due to the number of votes, Mamdani tweeted on Wednesday morning, Nelson Mandela requested: “It is always impossible until this is done. My friends, it is complete. And you are the same. I am proud to be your democratic candidate for the mayor of New York.”

Former New York State Governor Kuomo, who resigned during the sexual harassment scam, summoned Mamdani to congratulate Mamdani and addressed an incident in Manhattan. He said, “Tonight was the night of the assembly Mamdani and he combined a great campaign,” he said. “And he touched the youngsters and inspired them and moved them and put them out to vote. And he really launched a very effective campaign.”

In the expected victory of Mamdani, political analysts believe that there are big lessons for the Democratic Party, and it has been damaged in the 2024 presidential and Congress elections.

What happened in the Democratic Primary?

In the first selection round of the Rank-selected voting for the New York City Democratic city on June 3, Mamdani got 43..5 percent of the votes, almost 2 433 votes, while Koomo took 36..4 percent, or 1 36.8 votes.

The contractor Brad Lander, another progressive contender, came to third place by 8.3 percent and the remaining votes were divided into other retail candidates.

Since no candidate got more than 50 per cent of the first choice, the New York rank-ranked system was kicked. Candidates with the lowest votes were removed in the consecutive consecutive and the second-selection priorities of their supporters were redistributed.

Mamdani took a significant contribution to the voters and other progressives of the land and pushed him on the way to cross the majority. These may be the days before the final results are announced, but the victory of Mamdani is definitely appearing as shown by Kuomo’s concession.

Expect Mamdani’s victory?

Not really. In the week till the post of Democratic City, most of the major votes had predicted Kuomo as the leading, although he chose Mamdani as soon as the election approached.

In a march survey on June 1 June, just six days before the primary, Kuomo led the pack with 38 percent of the votes of the first choice. Mamdani fell on 27 percent behind. The survey replicates the results of the rankings-sewing and the Cumo estimates that the majority can finally reach 55 percent majority.

Similarly, in the previous emergency college survey in the late May, Kuomo voted for 37 per cent of the first-choice votes, while Mamdani came up with 1 per cent. Koomo has been further postponed in the Sien/AARP survey from April.

Kuomo was known in New York, which was almost incredible – his father Mario Kuomo was also the governor of the state. He had a well -known campaign in which he was flooded across the entire city.

But Mamdani’s grassroots campaigns, small-dollar donations and young voters became strongly voted for young voters. They targeted the workers-class New Yorkers, especially in parts of Queens, Brooklyn and Manhattan.

Kuomo and other Democrats had criticized Mamdani as an inappropriate for the NYC mayor’s office, arguing that there was a lack of administrative experience to navigate the city’s complex bureaucracy and effectively manage crises. On Tuesday it was clear that their pitch did not work.
