The US says its Gaza plan is moving towards demilitarization and reconstruction.
“We have officially entered the second phase of the 20-point peace plan for Gaza.”
Those were the words of US President Donald Trump, who said Washington would make an arms deal with Hamas and threatened the group with consequences if it did not follow through.

Trump stopped short of calling on Israel to meet its commitments, however, with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu describing the US announcement as largely symbolic.
