Washington pressures Venezuela’s interim leader for post-Maduro ‘transition’




Venezuela’s interim president, Delsey Rodriguez, consolidated her new government on Monday by naming key ministers and meeting with Washington’s new charge d’affaires, Laura Dogu, in Caracas to discuss US plans for “stabilization, economic recovery, reconciliation and transition.” Foreign Minister Ivan Gil said that the talks were focused on bridging the historical differences between the two countries.
