Since August 2025, Ukraine has stepped up its campaign of strikes against targets deep inside Russia. While the country’s Western allies are reluctant to allow long-range missiles to be used for this purpose, they have not objected to Ukraine doing so with its own domestically produced weapons – primarily drones – and the Americans are even helping with the targeting, according to various sources.
