Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua reportedly set for highly anticipated showdown in Riyadh 2026 Boxing News

Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua are in line for a highly anticipated showdown next year.

He announced the plans for the meeting between the two former heavyweight world champions The Ring Magazine, owned by Riyadh season boss Turki Alalshih.

A fight between Joshua and Fury – two of the greatest heavyweights of their generation and two of the best British heavyweights of all time – has been in the works for years but never materialised.

The report also says that Fury and Joshua are additionally slated for separate bouts in 2026 within the Riyadh season.

Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul later this month – his first outing since being dismantled by Daniel Dubois in September 2024.

Fury is currently retired after back-to-back losses to WBC, WBA and IBO champion Alexander Usyk. However, Fury previously stated that he retired, only to return to the ring several times.

In 2021, the British stars were almost in a position to fight for the undisputed title of heavyweight champion.

However, Deontay Wilder exercised his rematch clause after Fury stopped him in the seventh round of their rematch, leading to a third fight between them. Joshua had to face Usik.
