On the basis of the very productive meeting I had with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, we laid the foundations for a future agreement on Greenland and indeed the entire Arctic region. This decision, if implemented, would be an excellent decision for the United States and all NATO countries. Based on this understanding, I will not introduce the tariffs that should take effect on February 1. Further discussions are underway regarding the Golden Dome in relation to Greenland. More information will be available during the discussion. Vice President J.D. Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and others will be responsible for negotiations as needed — they will report directly to me.
