Washington – Friday, President Trump signed the peace agreement between the Democratic Republic of Congo and the Ruandan democratic republic, marking that the Trump Administration will end the end of almost three decades.
The agreement directing Trump Administration is an effort to stop blood spill in the eastern blood of DrC, where Rwandan is protected militia, which takes large parts of the land. Rwanda protects the rebels directly. Officials of both countries signed the Washington agreement this week.
“So today we are celebrating the famous victory, and that’s the cause of peace,” said Trump Mr. Oval Office. “It’s been a long time waiting. Sign a historical peace agreement between the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the Rwandan Republic. The conflict has continued and has been going to say that it has still been 30 years old.”
The region has been unstable in decades and has reckoned thousands of deaths in the East Congo recently, and about 6 million dead in the last three decades, according to the Council of External Relations. Conflict has created a humanitarian crisis and extensive displacement in East DRCN.
Mr Trump said the US will “put a lot of pressure” to pay homage to the agreement.
“I’ll tell if there are great sanctions,” said the Trump Mr., including financial penalties. But, he added, he thinks they will stay in peace.
The agreement allows you to access DRC mineral deposits, such as gold, copper and lithium.
Mr. Trump on Friday, took credit not only for the DRC-Rwanda Agreement, but also the role of intervention in other conflicts.
“This is a horrible breakthrough,” he said. “In a few months, we got peace between India and Pakistan in India and LightAnd, and DrC and Rwanda, and another couple. ”
The Vice President JD Vance also praised the role of the President in the DRC-Rwanda deal.
“I know what I think about these two countries, a large part of these two countries, about each other about the story,” he said. “And now, we can see the future of my child’s home, prosperity and peace story.
