Just as the alliance enters The Traitors it couldn’t be worse, the group decided to disband for a betrayal that resulted in a shocking banishment.
Warning: Spoilers for the new episode of The Traitors.
During the Thursday, January 29 episode of the hit Peacock series, Add the chest he was still dealing with his fellow Traitor Rob Rausch turn against her when she wrote her name in the last banishment. However, he still had a murder to execute, so they had to present his downfall, so Lisa could choose a victimwhich it turned out to be Yamil “Yam Yam” Arocho.
The faithful were offered the chance to drink two life-saving elixirs if consumed by the person actually marked for death. They made a bad choice, Yam Yam found out he was the one who killed and managed to alert everyone else that Lisa kissed him on the cheek, which he thought meant she was the traitor.
Lisa then spent the entire episode trying to prove her innocence, to no avail. Candiace Dillard Bassett tried to help Lisa by working on it convince others not to vote for her Rob, however, realized that Lisa was a sinking ship and instead cemented his friendship with Colton Underwood, who was able to convince the rest of the panel about who he would be voting for week after week.

Add the chest.
Euan cherry/peacockIt all came down to Thursday’s panel discussion where Rob turned to Lisa. Candiace remained loyal, but only to Lisa. When asked who she named, Candiace revealed that she chose to throw out her vote and write in Rob. While it may seem innocent to some, viewers know that Rob is a traitor, so Candiace found a subtle way to float his name and potentially expose him.
“We’ve got a snake on our hands,” Candiace said in a confessional about Rob’s “buffoonery” in choosing Colton’s side over Lisa, who was eventually banished.
Candiace slammed Rob’s decision not to be loyal to traitors, adding: “He’s willing to betray the people who helped him. He made some wicked decisions that will have dire consequences for him.”
As the episode came to a close, Rob was seen co-signing Candiace as a potential traitor to the faithful. Candiace had the same idea, but about Rob, so she convinced the others to re-examine Rob and Colton’s friendship, specifically whether it could be an alliance between Traitors.
“Rob made the decision to disband the traitors,” Candiace said he told the cameras about his choice to “cut him in the head” putting him at risk of exposure.
Rob admitted he didn’t expect things to take the turn they did. “I would have been happy to win that match with her,” he shared. “But now I have no idea how Candiace and I are going to work together moving forward. It looks like we won’t.”
In the trailer for next week’s episode, Candiace was seen telling Rob to “do what you’re going to do and I’m going to do what I’m going to do.”
The Traitors is now streaming on Peacock with new episodes dropping Thursdays at 9pm ET.
