last week, Bridgerton back to netflix with more drama, more intrigue, more beautiful costumes and of course more romance.
Based on the book by Julia Quinn An offer from a gentleman, the first part of season 4 is streaming on Netflix, and part 2 will be released on February 26.
After bingeing all four episodes, Watch with us wants to rewind the clocks for a minute.
Before we see what’s in store this season, we’re taking a look back at some of our favorites Bridgerton romances so far
5. Reynolds and Brimsley
of Bridgerton the first major queer romance appeared in the spinoff series Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Love Story. The Queen’s Hand, Brimsley (Hugh Sachs) and the King’s secretary, Reynolds (Freddie Dennis), have an arc from enemies to lovers, as they initially come into conflict due to loyalty to their respective royals.
However, this conflict eventually turns a little steamier, even though the unfortunate reality of Regency-era England meant that their love story had to be kept under wraps. The secrecy of their relationship and the pressure to keep it under wraps ultimately broke the pair up, but their “forbidden romance” connection remains a fan favorite.
4. Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgerton

(L to R) Luke Newton as Colin Bridgerton, Nicola Coughlan as Penelope Featherington
Liam Daniel/NetflixPenelope (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin (Luke Newton) pulls off the classic friends-to-lovers trope, having been best friends on the show for a while before their romance blossomed in Season 3. The two had been constantly getting together for comfort or laughter, and while Penelope had made some subtle but unnoticed advances toward the Bridgerton boy earlier, she’s ultimately the only one who really “sees” him.
Because the two have a strong history and a solid foundation of loving friendship, it makes their journey to realizing that they love each other (and themselves) all the more rewarding. Thankfully, these two get their happily ever after ending with a marriage that’s still going strong in Season 4.
3. Daphne Bridgerton and Simon Bassett

REGEAN PAGE as SIMON BASSET and PHNEBE DYNEVOR as DAPHNE BRIDGERTON
Liam Daniel/NetflixDaphne (Phoebe Dynevor) and Simon (Regé-Jean Page) is found as one of the of Bridgerton original favorite pairings, having gone from faking a relationship to escape social pressures to really and truly loving each other and forming a strong emotional connection.
The couple has passionate romantic tension while also being able to bond intellectually, providing love and stability. Together, they form a mutually satisfying relationship where Simon is able to face his past trauma and Daphne finds the ability to embrace her own power. Although they were not friends at first, they came to understand that they are for each other better friend
2. George III and Queen Charlotte
one of of Bridgerton top romances is another directly from the Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Love Story spin-off, but just because it’s a spin-off doesn’t mean it doesn’t blow most other love stories out of the water. The main series looked at the relationship between George III (Corey Mylchrest) and Queen Charlotte (India Amarteifio), but this companion series delves into the couple’s struggle to balance their legacy and responsibility with some surprising mental health issues.
Viewers found this portrayal of mental health to be incredibly empathetic, as together the pair develop trust, patience and an intense passion. Although their romance ultimately ended in tragedy, it was a fan favorite.
1. Kate Sharma and Anthony Bridgerton

While Simon and Daphne’s romance was the crown jewel Bridgerton in season 1, her crown was quickly overtaken by Kate (Simon Ashley) and Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) in Season 2. Their romance is a very satisfying love story and another classic enemies-to-lovers arc.
Kate and Anthony genuinely hate each other at first, but there’s an unmistakable spark underneath that just masks intense lust. Initially, they can’t act on their feelings and only share intimate moments through longing glances, brief skin-to-skin contact, and unspoken, burning desire. At times, longing is even more romantic than actual intimacy, but the climactic revelation of their affections was triumphant rather than deflating. Kate and Anthony (or “Kanthony”) are not just lovers, but true partners and equals.
