If you still need a 2026 resolution, make this one: watch more movies Prime Video.

Why Prime Video? Well, it has one of the most diverse catalogs of movies. That’s never been truer than in January 2026, when the streamer added even more must-see movies.

Watch with us has selected the horror hit of 2025 Bloodline of final destinationthe drama Tully starring Charlize Theron and the Hugh Grant comedy About a boy to see them this weekend.

‘Final Destination Bloodlines’ (2025)

When he compiled his list of the best movies of 2025, filmmaker and provocateur John Aigües selected Bloodline of final destination as the second best film of the year. While I wouldn’t go there this so far, I would still argue that Bloodline of final destination it’s better than most movies I’ve seen lately, and much more entertaining.

When Stefani Reyes (Kaitlyn Santa Juana) has premonitions about a long-ago accident that never actually happened, he discovers that death is targeting his family to destroy them. One by one, each member of her extended family, from Aunt Brenda (April plot) to cousin Erik (Richard Harmon) – is killed in increasingly elaborate and gruesome ways, like being sucked into an MRI machine. Can Stefani stop death from claiming what’s left of her family?

If you have seen any of the above Final Destination movies, you know the answer. But it’s all about the journey with these kinds of movies, and this one involves a lot of set pieces that would MC Escher proud

“Tully” (2017)

Marlo (Charlize Theron) is a mother of three at the end of her rope. Desperate for help, she agrees to her husband’s request to hire a nanny to help him. When the twentysomething Tully (Mackenzie Davis) arrives, it’s like a dream come true as he helps Marlo with everyday problems. But when the two women impulsively travel to Brooklyn one night, their relationship falls apart after Tully suggests she take another job. Can Marlo survive without Tully to help her?

Tully it is largely a domestic drama that takes a strange turn at the end of the third act. I won’t tell you what happens, but instead of being one M. Night Shyamalan cheap spin actually adds another layer of complexity to everything you’ve just seen. As the overwhelmed mother, Theron gives one of her best performances of her career. Marlo wants to be a good mother, but with little sleep and no real emotions in her life, she can barely be a functional person. Most mothers will recognize Marlo, but her disappointment at how her life has turned out is also universal.

‘About a Boy’ (2002)

Hugh Grant has never been nominated for an Oscar, but he absolutely deserved to be recognized for his great performance in the winning 2002 comedy, about a boy. He plays Will Freeman, a stylish Londoner whose lavish and aimless lifestyle is funded entirely by royalties from his late father’s Christmas carol. Their carefree lifestyle is interrupted one day when 12-year-old Marcus (Nicholas Hoult) enters his life. Bullied, friendless, and desperately awkward, Marcus teams up with a reluctant Will, who helps the boy by giving him tips on how to be cool.

When a woman likes him, Rachel (Rachel Weisz), assumes that Marcus is his son, Will goes along with the deception. But how long can he pretend to be someone he’s not? And is he willing to sacrifice his relationship with Marcus, the only person he’s really close to?

Adapted from Nick Hornbythe bestselling novel, About a boy is an entertaining story of two kids—Marcus, a real kid, and Will, an adult who still acts like one—who are forced to grow up to get what they want in life. The film’s conclusion is unabashedly sweet, but at this point, you want all of these characters to have a happy ending. Grant’s sarcastic performance tempers the film’s sugary sentiment: he’s a charming jerk who you love to hate and hate to love.
