Tom Pelphrey has a lot to say about his promise Kaley Cuoco and her skills as a mother.
“Yeah, it’s great,” Pelphrey, 43, said exclusively Us Weekly on Friday, January 9, while attending a All the President’s Men benefit reading for the Stella Adler Foundation at the Harmony Gold Theater in Los Angeles.
“Thank God she’s there because we have a little girl and she’s daddy’s, and it’s hard for me to say no to anything,” he continued. “So we need Kaley to lay down the law.”
Cuoco, 40, started dating him Ozark alum in 2022 after their separation Carl Cook after three years of marriage.

“We have the same manager and we were created by (her), which is so Hollywood,” Cuoco said in an interview with USA Today of how she and Pelphrey met. “She’s like, ‘Oh my god, I think you’re perfect for each other.'” We met in the Ozark premiere, and I was with Andrea (Pett-Joseph) and Tom came in, and I heard his voice, and I turned, and it was as if my life had ended or had just begun. He hit me. It was love at first sight. We were instantly connected. I feel like I’ve known him all my life, but I wasn’t ready for him. We are ready to build a life together.”
In 2023, Cuoco and Pelphrey welcomed their daughter, Matilda, and Pelphrey popped the question to The flight attendant starred in August 2024 after two years of dating.

Now, Pelphrey and Cuoco are getting ready to celebrate their daughter’s third birthday.
“It’s literally the best part of my life,” the actor said we of being a father and raising alongside Cuoco. “Yes, he recognizes you. It just happens. I feel like everything is different – the priorities are different.”
Pelphrey also praised Cuoco’s acting talents, explaining how her skills as a Hollywood star translate to her role as a mother.
“She makes no effort. She makes no effort,” he explained we on friday “Her talent, it’s a part of who she is. The way she shows up, and she can do things, you know, get out of bed that I need to break my ass for a week to get to.”
