More than 900 earthquakes bow to a remote and more populated chain on the island of Southern Japan for more than two weeks, guarding residents overnight.
Seismic activity is “active” in the ocean around the Tokara Islands since June 21, authorities have been said after a strong earthquake on Wednesday.
There are no reports of injury and no tsunami warning raised but authorities advise residents to prepare to evacuate as needed.
“Sleep is very nice,” a resident said regional broadcaster MBC. “It feels like it always shakes.”
The area of Tokara experienced clusters of earthquakes in the past but the number of newest tremors is unusual, according to local media.
Japan is one of the most active active countries in the world, due to its location in the so-called Pacific ring, where many tectonic plates meet. It experienced about 1,500 earthquakes per year.
About 700 people live seven of 12 islands in Tokara. No hospitals in some fallen islands – the nearest six hours of ferry in the capital of prefectural, Kagoshima.
“You can hear a strange roar from the ocean before hit the earthquake, especially at night. This Eerie of Akusekijima Island is told asahi shimbun.
“Everything is tired. We just want to give up,” says 54-year-old, living at sea and running on a cow farm.
“After many earthquakes, it is now feeling that the earth shakes even if it is not,” as Isamu Sakamoto, 60, leader of the Association of residents of the Akusekijima.
“Earthquakes began with a jolt from the bottom, then the house was overflowing. It hurts,” he said.
In Toshima Village, some residents sleep – deprived and tired, the authorities said, because they encouraged the media to stop the locals with questions.
“We hope you are vigilant and unable to make excess questions or interviews,” according to a village website notice.
Some guesthouses in the Tokara Islands stopped receiving tourists because of the earthquakes, Toshima villages said to its websites, which could be used as habitats for locals.
This series of tremors comes as country overall maintained by gossip a large, fatal earthquake easily hit.

These quests frighten some tourists, with many media reports a flurry trip cancellation.
Most earthquakes hit Japan are gentle, but there are some causes of great damage, such as one 2011 prompts a tsunami intensity, killing more than 18,000 people.
