TikTok influencer and boss Tineke “Tini” younger is sharing a heartfelt update following the death of her twin daughter, Arya.
“I just wanted to get on social media real quick and let everyone know that L (baby b) is doing great, we love her so much. We remind her every day that Arya and Arya definitely plays with her sister in her dreams, L loves to smile in her sleep,” Younger, 24, he wrote via Instagram on Friday, Jan. 2, alongside several photos of her living daughter, Baby B, during the holiday season.
“I’m not sure when I’ll be back, I’m still trying to heal emotionally and physically, I had some complications post-partum that I’m still trying to recover from,” she continued. “Thanks to everyone who sends love.”
The social media influencer announced that she lost Arya, also known as Baby A, in November after suffering a potentially life-threatening pregnancy-related complication.
“This is not the post I ever thought I’d share once the twins came, unfortunately earlier this week we lost our sweet baby girl Arya (Baby A),” she wrote via Instagram and Facebook at the time. “We were so close to being done and getting the girls to term at almost 36 weeks, but I had a placental abruption and we lost our sweet girl.”
According to the Mayo Clinic, a placental abruption is a “rare but serious” pregnancy complication in which the placenta partially or completely separates from the “inner wall of the uterus before delivery,” which can “diminish or block” the supply of oxygen and nutrients to the fetus while causing “profuse bleeding in the mother.”
“Her twin sister is doing great and breathing on her own,” Younger then continued, referring to her surviving daughter, Baby B. “They’re both so beautiful and Arya will always be celebrated, her sister will know she’s a twin and she has a beautiful twin sister. I’m going to take a break, I don’t know how long, but I promise I’ll be back.”
Along with her caption, Younger posted a heartbreaking black-and-white photo of her and her husband Antoine Wright Jr. holding baby Arya.
Shortly after Younger announced his loss, teenage mother star Mackenzie Douthit sent her condolences to the influencer while sharing her own experience as a mother of twins.
“My heart is completely broken for you!” Douthit, 31, wrote in a comment on the social media star’s announcement. “I so wish doctors would stop forcing twin moms to try to carry so long.”
The reality TV star then spoke about the complications she suffered during the birth of her i Khesio Halltwin daughters Ja’Kharie and Ja’Meikah in June.
“Both placentas were delivered abruptly, I knew it was, and my doctor refused to listen and take the babies,” she said at the time. “I had to go to another hospital and let doctors I never met take my twins away at 31 weeks. No one ever talks about this. You are so deeply in my prayers.”
