“So I debated posting this, but I feel compelled to share. After seeing a lot of posts from women with the hashtags #iwasfifteen #imfifteen #iwasachild, I decided to google what age and see what came up,” Gilbert, who starred. I have no more words to say, ‘I WAS A KID.’ “I WAS FIFTEEN. And I was the good news.”

At the time, Gilbert was responding to now-viral comments made by the former Fox News anchor Megyn Kellywho argued that convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein “was in the barely legal kind,” apparently implying that he was not, in fact, a pedophile.
“He liked 15-year-old girls. And I realize that’s disgusting. I’m definitely not trying to excuse it. I’m just giving you facts, that he didn’t like, like, 8-year-olds,” Kelly said at the time. “But he liked the types of very young teenagers who could pass for even younger than they were, but would look legal to a passerby.”

In the arrest warrant, an investigator conducted a telephone interview with Busfield while his wife was present and on speakerphone.
