TikTok says it can still recover US infrastructure


TikTok said progress was being made to restore US infrastructure after the unfortunate data center outage, which affected the region shortly after TikTok US deal went through. Last week, TikTok announced the creation of a separate US entity with American investors to avoid nationwide bans.

“We have made significant progress in restoring US infrastructure with our US data center partners,” the post said. “However, the US user experience may have some technical issues, including when posting new content. We are committed to bringing TikTok back to full capacity as soon as possible. We will continue to provide updates. Thank you for your patience.”

The company did not name the wrong data center partner; However, the US has been affected by a large winter storm over the past few days, which has had an impact some 220 million Americans.

The timing of the outage caused some users to question the authenticity of TikTok’s statement, as the outage also occurred as a civil unrest. it started to get hot after US citizen Alex Pretti was killed by ICE agents.
