Three British activists were detained Spent weeks refusing food They ended their hunger strike citing reports that a UK government contract had been denied to a subsidiary of a major Israeli arms company based in the United Kingdom.

The Prisoners for Palestine group said in a statement on Wednesday that hunger striker Kamran Ahmed, Heba Muraisi And Louis Chiaramello ended his strike after one of his “main” demands was met.

“Our prisoners’ hunger strike will be remembered as a historic moment of pure defiance; an embarrassment to the British state,” the group said.

Many people belong to banned groups Palestine Action UK prisons have been denied food since November to protest the detention of Palestinians for waging a genocidal war against them in Gaza and the British government’s support for Israel.
