Thousands of exiled West Bank residents face uncertain months ahead

“The army forces us. I, my wife and family. We don’t carry anything.”

Alaa Oli tried to find out how to handle his many changed situations.

“We’ve left our documents, clothes and everyone else at home.”

It was a month since the Israeli army attacked the Tulkarm Refugee Camp, which caused thousands of residents to flee.

At the local Palestinian Governor office we found moving camp residents looking for help.

Some struggling to find places to be rented. Some, like Mr. Olfi, need to get important tools but restricted from returning to their homes in Israel.

“My wife looks forward to a child next week,” said Mr. Olfi. “I’ll never take him to the hospital because I need insurance papers and my id, but they’re left at home.”

The called Israel “Operation Iron Wall” against the armed Palestinian groups prompts about 40,000 people from four North Cons camps, Tulkarm, Nur Shams, Nur Shams, Jenin and Far’a.

It is called by agencies with the help of the largest pressed transfer of Palestinians in West Bank ever since Israeli forces arrested in 1967 six-day war.

It is also the first time that any of the camps, established in the early 1950s for the Palestinians fled or expelled from their homes during the war of independence, almost completely evacuated.

Since operation began in January, Israeli forces plowed on roads and destroyed homes.

On the eastern edges of the Tulkarm Camp, a wide scar appears to be where there were many packed houses. Israeli soldiers appear patrolling the present look of a road.

Everywhere, the roads of the camp were consumed, armed bulldozers who made piles of land and pools of muddy rainwater. Pavements and storefronts are not left blooming.

A concrete UN signature used to stand in the present unrelented main passage that is not struck.

At least 51 Palestinians, including seven children, killed by the Israelite forces in the northern bank of the West from the beginning of the operation, according to the UN.

Three soldiers were also killed by Palestinian gunmen, one of them in an exchange of fire in Jenin and two of the attacks on a Tubas checkpoint, it says.

The Israeli army said it faced militant groups of Palestinian groups, based on camps – it was blamed for a string soldiers of Israel and civilians.

Sunday, the Minister of Israel’s defense, Israel Katz, said that the army “in the war of Islamic terror in Judea and Samaria” – the term Israel was used to describe the West Bank.

He said he ordered the forces of Israel’s defense forces (IDF) “to prepare for a lasting stay in camps cleared in the coming year”.

At the same time, Katz ordered the tanks to take positions in Jenin’s camp and in the nearby town, for the first time for more than 20 years.

More than underlining the difficult message of the government, not clear what role in four tanks.

“The IDF works within the complex city environment,” as a military officer, in condition of unknown.

“We’ve done that in Gaza, we have done that in the villages of southern Lebanon,” the officer said, refers to the wars of Israel and Hezbollah.

“We did that in the neighborhoods of Judea and Samaria because of the threat we face.”

Military officials say no orders to evacuate civilians.

“IDF allowed local residents who wanted to get away from the struggle to leave safely through assigned crossings,” The Army said in a statement.

But the residents of the camps say they were forced to leave, some of them were burned.

Some say instructions leave drone gave.

A video from Jenin appears in a drone flying camp, which seems to broadcast a message.

“Out of your households, the army will come here,” The message says.

The newly appointed Palestine governor of Tulkarm, Dr Abdullah Kmeil, calls to operate iron wall “a declaration of war”.

“You talk about a destruction operation,” he told the BBC. “Residents’ financial and mental destruction. These are the things the Israelites planned.”

The purpose, he says, is to do “an enemy environment” for the residents of the camps, in the hope they leave and absorb Palestinian population.

Meanwhile, Palestinians find themselves struggling with a host to new difficulties, big and small.

In the Qabatiya village, only south of Jenin, we found a driver who quickly seeks to change from a muddy potdole left on the road.

Her car was tied to the middle of the road, holding traffic in the same direction.

At the center of a nearby round, a small replica of the Iconic Dome of Jerusalem was broken by the stone.

Despite Israel’s warning to Israel, no one knows how long the operation, and the restrictions of civilians, lasted.

“If we couldn’t go to our house for a year, it would be a danger,” said A Allah Oni.

“We’re going to be stranded with streets with kids.”
