UPDATE — 2/11/26, 12 pm ET: Alyssa Farah Griffin she is officially a mother after giving birth to her first baby with husband Justin Griffin.

Alyssa Farah Griffin was noticeably absent The View on Tuesday, February 10, and her cohosts were excited about the occasion.
Griffin, who is pregnant with her first baby, went into labor before Tuesday’s broadcast, Whoopi Goldberg confirmed during the show’s “Hot Topics” segment.
“He’s in the hospital right now!” Goldberg, 70, shared with the audience, who began cheering along with others The View panelists Sarah Haines, Joy Behar i Sunny Hostin. “And we wish her the best as she waits for her son to arrive.”
Goldberg encouraged applause and told viewers, “Yeah, it’s kind of fabulous! Welcome to that baby!”
Griffin, who united The View during season 25 in 2021, announced her pregnancy in October 2025. The journalist, 36, confirmed during an episode of the ABC daytime talk show that she and her husband Justin Griffin she went through “five rounds” of IVF (in vitro fertilization) before becoming pregnant, taking “about a year”.
“Baby Griffin is coming this February,” Alyssa said during the show, revealing her growing baby bump to the audience. “I’m so glad I don’t have to hide it anymore. I can breathe.”
The former White House communications director added that she was “so grateful to have the most supportive husband in the world” as they waited to meet their baby.

In the months since, Alyssa has kept fans updated on her pregnancy, including why it was absent from a December 2025 issue.
“Hi guys! I’ve been sick with a stomach virus but I’m hoping to be back on @theviewabs tomorrow,” she wrote via her Instagram stories on December 3. “It’s no fun being sick while I’m 6 (and a half) months pregnant!”
The TV personality then reminded her followers to stay vigilant about their health during flu season. “Remember it’s this time of year: be smart, use hand sanitizer (and) stay home if you’re sick,” Alyssa added.
As the countdown to the baby drew near, Alyssa received an outpouring of love and support from her co-hosts like an on-air baby shower.
During the February 3 episode of The Viewviewers watched as Alyssa was honored by her counterparts with gifts and advice on motherhood.
“I’m so grateful,” Alyssa said as she fought back tears. “They say it takes a village and just knowing that I have such a wonderful village at this table, this amazing husband and my family and friends. That meant a lot to me.”
Goldberg then raised a glass and offered a toast to the mother-to-be, saying, “Here’s to health, happiness and lots of love. A little sleep and a lot of laughter.”
A day later, The Viewexecutive producer of Brian Teta confirmed to Deadline this Elisabeth Hasselbeck i Abby Huntsman would return to the show with the opportunity to serve as cohosts amid Alyssa’s maternity leave, which was scheduled to begin after Friday, February 13, taping before her February 19 due date.
Savannah Chrisley is the first guest cohost, starting on Tuesday, February 17, after the long President’s Day weekend.
Fans will also see guest cohosts, editor of Protect Democracy Amanda Carpenter, The Talk alum Sheryl Underwood and comedian Whitney Cummings during Alyssa’s break.
