The UN Assembly condemns Ukraine’s invasion of Russia despite opposing us


The UN General Assembly has passed a resolution that condemns Russia’s invasion of Ukraine co-sponsored in Kyiv and EU countries, despite urging states to do so.

The resolution passed with 93 votes in favor. US and Russia are two 18 votes against. China, is one of Moscow’s closest allies since Russian invasion of Ukraine in the early 2022, which includes 64 more countries.

The US urges countries to vote against this own resolution asking for peace in the three-year rustic attacks against Ukraine.

The UN Security Council, which US and four more permanent members have veto rights, are likely to vote on the day’s issue.
