The man killed by British President William Ruto’s Convoy in Kenya


A British man was killed in an event hit-and-run involving a motorcade vehicle at Kenyan President William Ruto.

Man, named 79-year-old Edgar Charles Frederick, died on Thursday after hit by accident on a main road in the capital, Nairobi.

Police launched an investigation after the incident and arrested the driver of a vehicle supporting traveling as part of President Ruto’s official convoy.

The police spokesman Michael Gobiri told BBC Mr. Frederick visited Kenya to see his sister and niece residents in the country.

The victim’s next one was informed, and a post-mortem was likely to be done later on Friday.

Police say the driver, failing to stop after the accident, appears in court after the investigation.

A spokesperson for UK High Commission said officers know reports and seek more information.

Social media posted videos showed a man in the blue jeans and a colored shirt hanging out hitting the street bleeding outside a busy place to shop.

Some pictures show the victim covered by an inspected shawl, known as local as a masai shuka.

Mr. Doiriri said the BBC car owned the regional administration and gave the President’s detail support.

President Ruto made events in the neighborhood scene on Thursday’s accident as part of the continued political partners in the capital.
