“The Trump Kennedy Center will close on July 4, 2026, in honor of our nation’s 250th birthday, and we will simultaneously begin construction on the spectacular new entertainment complex,” Trump, 79, wrote via Social Truth Sunday, February 1. “This important decision, based on input from many well-respected experts, will take a tired, broken and run-down center that has been in poor condition, both financially and structurally, for many years, and turn it into a world-class bastion of arts, music and entertainment, far better than ever.”
Trump claimed that the funding is now complete and fully operational.
After the project is completed, the president believes that “America will be very proud” of the “beautiful new Landmark.”
For many of the former presidents John F. Kennedyfamily, the news is personal and not taken lightly.
“Don’t get distracted by what this administration is trying to erase,” JFK’s nephew said. Joe Kennedy III he wrote via X on sunday “Our connection, our community and our commitment to the rights of all.”
