The global response to HIV has been hit by “the most significant setback in decades”, the UN says




On World AIDS Day, the United Nations has warned that sharp cuts in global funding have seriously damaged the fight against HIV and AIDS. The UN agency said that since Donald Trump returned to the White House, countless more people have died of AIDS and 2.5 million have lost access to HIV-blocking drugs, marking the most significant decline in the global HIV response in decades.
