Former British ambassador Peter Mandelsohn is stepping down from the House of Lords after new revelations about his links with the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, while Prime Minister Keir Starmer said the veteran Labor leader had “let his country down” and police reviewed reports of his possible misconduct while in public office.
