The FBI is releasing new details in hopes of identifying a potential suspect in the disappearance Savannah Guthriemother is missing Nancy Guthrie.
“Today, the FBI is increasing its reward to $100,000 for information leading to the location of Nancy Guthrie and/or the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in her disappearance,” FBI Phoenix shared. via X on Thursday, February 12. “New identifying details about the suspect in Nancy Guthrie’s kidnapping have been confirmed following forensic analysis of doorbell camera footage by the FBI’s Operational Technology Division.”
According to authorities, the suspect is described as a “male, approximately 5’9″-5’10” tall, with a medium build. In the video, he is carrying a black 25-liter ‘Ozark Trail Hiker Pack’ backpack.”
Since Feb. 1, the FBI said it has collected more than 13,000 tips from the public related to this case.
Nancy was last seen in Tucson, Arizona on January 30 after having dinner with family members.
According to the Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanosa 911 call it was done by Nancy’s family around 12:03 a.m. on Feb. 1 after the 84-year-old failed to meet with friends to watch a church service virtually. The patrol arrived soon after and began the search and rescue protocol.
Recently FBI Director Kash Patel has shared new surveillance photos taken on Nancy’s porches the night of her alleged kidnapping.
“Working with our partners, as of this morning, law enforcement has uncovered this new previously inaccessible footage showing an armed individual who appears to have tampered with the camera at Nancy Guthrie’s front door on the morning of her disappearance,” Patel wrote via X on Tuesday, February 10. http://tips.fbi.gov.”
The accompanying footage and video showed a person standing in the driveway of Nancy’s home wearing a ski mask and apparently trying to cover a camera.

Since Nancy disappeared, Savannah has been away from the today show in New York to be closer to his family, which includes his sister Annie Guthrie and brother Cameron Guthrie.
Together, the siblings have appealed to the public to help with the investigation and bring their beloved mother home.
“Our mom is a kind, faithful, loyal and fiercely loving woman of kindness and light. She’s funny, waltzing and smart. She has grandchildren who adore her and crowd around her and cover her with kisses,” Savannah said alongside her siblings in a Instagram video published on February 4. “She loves fun and adventure. She is a devoted friend. She is full of kindness and knowledge. Talk to her and you will see.”
The NBC News reporter added, “Mom, if you’re listening to this, you’re a strong woman. You’re God’s precious daughter, Nancy. We believe and know that even in this valley, He’s with you. Everyone’s looking for you, Mom, everywhere. We’re not going to rest.”
Hundreds of detectives and agents are working on the case with the President donald trump offering federal resources to the Guthrie family.
“We are deploying every resource to bring his mother home safely,” Trump, 79, said via Truth Social on February 4. “Our nation’s prayers are with her and her family.”
