YouTuber Adam the WooThe cause of death has been revealed a month after he was found dead at his home in Celebration, Florida.
The influencer, real name David Adam Williams, died of cardiovascular disease and the manner of his death was considered natural, his father, Jim Williamsrevealed in a Facebook publication on Monday, January 26.
Jim said he received a copy of the medical examiner’s report on Adam’s death on Monday, writing: “To our family and friends, and to all of Adam the Woo’s dear friends, those who knew him and those who never met him… You, along with us (his immediate family), have been patiently waiting for the Coroner’s Office to finish their autopsy report. The medical examiner’s report has been completed and I got it by email today.”
According to Adam’s father, the cause of death listed in the report is “atherosclerotic and hypertensive cardiovascular disease,” with obesity as a contributing cause of death.
Adam the Woo rose to online fame chronicling his life and travels through YouTube before his death at the age of 51. “Our dear Son, your dear friend died, in essence, of a heart attack in his sleep from health problems he probably never knew he had,” Jim wrote. “Now, we can all stop guessing. Be thankful that the Lord allowed him to die at home and not in a foreign country. Be thankful that he was found by friends (hard as it was) and not a nameless stranger.”
“Adam had big plans for 2026. We all think so. The Bible tells us the truth,” Jim wrote, citing a Bible passage about the precariousness of time.
The passage reads in part, “But you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a while and then vanishes.”
“Stay alert. Be prepared. We love you all. Thanks for loving Adam,” Jim concluded the post.
