A bus that brings those who mourn from a funeral falling in the western Kenya, killing 25 people, the local authorities said.
The driver has lost control, overflowing on the road and prevented the highway canal on Kakumamega on Friday afternoon, a police report saw at BBC. This place is famous for many deadly accidents.
Police said 10 women, 10 men and a girl died in the scene, with 20 passengers who were injured, five of them seriously. Four people passed away from the hospital, officials said.
Passengers return from the grave and all believed to be from a family.
The reason to crash is not yet clear, says the police.
The vehicle is a series of school buses, but no students rode as they are used for funeral transport.
The bus from a nyahera burial ceremony and goes to Nyakach, a distance of about 62 km (38.5 miles).
Kenya’s Ministry of Health calls for a “urgent blood drive” to help the survivors and enlarged “Thanksgiving to the lost”.
It also encourages care of motorists, especially because the country deals with many road accidents.
Kenyan President William Ruto calls X for authorities to easily wander to “responsible for any acts of neglecting traffic accidents to ensure traffic safety throughout the country”.
Kenya’s National Transport and Safety Authority said they help tests the cause of crash.
This crash comes after Six people died earlier this week if a light aircraft belonged to a medical charity crushed by Nairobi.
On Thursday, nine people were killed when a bus hit a train in Naivasha town, reported to local media. And on Saturday, seven people were killed in another crash near Nairobi, according to media reports.
Between 2020 and 2021, death on Kenyan road raises 20%. In 2021, more than 4,500 people were killed and more than 16,000 were injured.
