Ten years on, France is paying tribute to the victims of the 2015 Paris terror attacks – including music. The city of Paris commissioned composer Victor Le Massenet – who was also the musical director of the 2024 Paris Olympics – to create a new piece in memory of the victims of the November 13 attacks. He wrote a moving piece called Requiem des Lumieres – “Requiem of Light” – which will be performed by the Radio France Choir and the Orchestra of the Republican Guard during a special evening ceremony in the new memorial garden near City Hall, attended by President Emmanuel Macron. Details from FRANCE 24 culture editor Eva Jackson.
