According to documents obtained by Us WeeklyLively’s lawyers filed a letter to Judge Lewis J. Liman on Tuesday, Jan. 20, which showed a text message between Swift, 36, and Lively, 38, in early December 2024 that referenced the End With Us director, 41 years old, and the New York Times article that reported bullying complaints filed against him. The texts were filed in response “to Baldoni’s legal team’s motion for summary judgment.”

The legal documents, which were filed as part of Lively’s unsealed deposition Tuesday in her ongoing legal battle against Baldoni, included a text from Swift that read in part, “I think this bitch knows something’s coming cause she got her little fiddle out.”

Other texts also allegedly read: “If Justin was strategic, he wouldn’t be like no Taylor Swift in the trailer because that gives you more power over the movie, that’s your ally not his.”

Other posts saw Lively asking Swift, who was allegedly on her way to Lively’s house while Baldoni was present, to endorse a revised version of the End With Us script Swift allegedly replied, “I’ll do anything for you!!”

Lively later allegedly texted Swift that she was “so heroic today” and that she was “capturing every moment” of her husband Ryan Reynolds.

“I remembered things: You’re bullshitting me and the lenses,” Lively wrote. “And referring to yourself as my doll. This clown falls for everything. But resist it too. You’re the absolute best friend in the world.”

According to a report on Tuesday from peopleLively’s lawyers don’t argue that “the quoted language appears in the cited source,” they say the messages “do not support the defendants’ contention” that Lively and Swift “privately discussed the upcoming post.” New York Times article.”

Member of Lively’s legal team Sigrid McCawley sent a statement to Us Weekly on Tuesday that addressed why Lively’s texts with Swift were included in her filing.

“As we head to trial, only Ms. Lively’s claims against Defendants remain. The Court dismissed Wayfarer’s retaliation counterclaim in its entirety last June,” the statement said. “The newly disclosed evidence contains previously unpublished testimony, messages and evidence from numerous eyewitnesses that support the claims in Ms. Lively’s lawsuit. The evidence includes Ms. Lively’s own testimony describing the harassment she has faced, as well as new evidence from numerous women describing their own disturbing experiences.”

He continued: “Newly disclosed evidence shows that the concerns of Ms. Lively and others were documented in real time in the spring of 2023, and were understood by Wayfarer to be concerns of ‘sexual harassment.’

The fight alive and Baldoni, which began the End With Us set in 2023, when the pair were working as co-stars under Baldoni’s direction, came under fire publicly in late 2024 when Lively filed a complaint with the California Department of Civil Rights and later sued Baldoni over allegations of sexual harassment.

Baldoni denied all claims made against him and countersued Lively the following month, but the counterclaim was dismissed in June 2025.

The legal battle saw the input from Swiftwho was close friends with Lively at the time, was part of Lively’s initial lawsuit after claiming Baldoni named the pop star while discussing the alleged takedown plans.
