Syria’s Shaara declared Kurdish the “national language” after the conflict




Syrian President Ahmed al-Shara on Friday declared Kurdish one of the country’s national languages ​​following recent clashes between the army and Kurdish forces in Aleppo. Kurds in northern Syria have refused to integrate into the state, calling instead for a decentralized federal system, which Damascus rejects.
