Sudan suspends all imports from Kenya to protest after paramilitary support (RSF), fighting with the army of a civil war, hosted by Nairobi.
In the last month, the RSF and political allies and armed groups signed a foundation of Kenya expressing the intention to form a parallel government in Sudan.
The Sudan military government said the import of prohibition is to preserve the country’s sovereignty and “protect the National Security”.
War-ridden country imports many products from Kenya including tea, food items and pharmaceutical products.
“Importing all products from Kenya to all ports, crossings, airports, and ports will be suspended as this day until today notice the Ministry of Trade Trade.
It sues “all related authorities to carry out the ban” immediately.
Tensions between Kenya and Sudan are growing for months.
Kenyan President William Ruto faced massive criticism for his perceived close relationship with RSF.
Last month, Sudan recalled its ambassador in Kenya to participate against the aggregate of Nairobi in a “conspiracy to build a government” for RSF.
