Style influencer Dawn Roth diagnosed with cancer at age 50: ‘Unlocated’


Style influencer Dawn Roth has been diagnosed an undisclosed form of cancer.

“I don’t know what to write so I’ll just put the facts here. I have cancer,” Roth, 50, wrote via Instagram on Monday, February 2, along with a selfie from the hospital. “It’s not localized. It’s already in my colon, lungs and abdomen.”

He continued: “This space has held great things for me, community, friendship, opportunity, creativity, fun. I’m here to humbly ask for one more thing: fight with me, as much as we can.”

Roth, whose “Dressing Dawn” Instagram account has more than 65,000 followers at the time of publication, received a number of messages of support in the comments section.

“Omg Dawn I hate reading this,” influencer Alison Gary he answered “We are here for you, sending love, strength and support ❤️.”

Content creator Jamie Koromafor her part, she added: “Sending you so much love Dawn! ❤️ Let us know if we can help in any way!”

Roth was stunned to receive so many heartfelt messages of support.

“Right now I have no words to respond to the outpouring of support for my post that I shared,” Roth said in a video shared on Tuesday, Feb. 3 via his Instagram Stories. “It’s not at all what I thought I was going to post. I have a whole story of how I ended up going to the ER and then they did a CT (scan) and they found these things that (were) all unexpected.”

According to Roth, it is currently awaiting results from his recent biopsy.

“They did a biopsy of my liver, they did a biopsy of part of my colon (and) they’re going to send it to oncology and assign me a care team,” he explained. “(Then,) I’ll know what the next steps are, but I just want to tell you how grateful I am to be welcomed by all of you.”

As she awaits the next steps in her treatment plan, Roth revealed in a later Instagram Stories slide that she also plans to order a “top-of-the-line cancer wardrobe” of cozy, patterned pajamas.

Roth is a plus size fashion influencer, known online for sharing loads inspiring women of all sizes to discover their personal styles.

“Thank you! I can’t close out 2025 without expressing how grateful I am for this community,” she wrote in December 2025. Instagram publication “It’s never been just the dresses. It’s never been just the style. The connections, the support, the learning (and) the growth, it’s EVERYTHING.”

She then added: “I know my sharing has slowed down a bit recently as I’ve explored mental health and the medical path, but even there the genuine care I’ve received here has been so meaningful. Thank you for all the time you’ve spent with me in 2025.”

Roth also celebrated his milestone 50th birthday that same year.

“Usually the run-up to a birthday makes me feel thoughtful, and half a century seems like a milestone,” he said in a January 2025 social media post. video. “Right now, I’m embracing it because, right now, I’m the most resolved version of myself. I’m more true to who I am than I’ve ever been. I’m more grounded, more compassionate (and) have a better understanding of what I need and value from others and less afraid to ask for it and set boundaries. I’m deliberately choosing my time, space and comfort.”
