The armed Islamists hit a hotel in the town of Bedweyne at the central Somalia, and a siege continued, police and Witnesses said.
Al-Shabab’s attack starts a bomb bomb with a car crash, followed by gunmen riding at the hotel, which brings severe bursts of security forces.
The police said at least four people were killed, but the Witnesses told the BBC the death of the soldiers still fighting against the Guns of the Qahira Hotel.
Al-Shabab, joined al-Qaeda, launched a brutal irritation of Somalia for over two decades.
Hotel attack occurred at the hotel that happened to politicians, security officials and traditional elders met to discuss plans against the Somalian group.
Bedeleweyne is about 335km (208 miles) north of the capital, Mogadishu, and a strategic location of the campaign against Al-Shabab.
Police officer Ali said many of those who attendees survived, the AFP News Agency reports
“Security forces faced a lot of gunmen with corners on one side of the building,” he quoted as saying.
A federal Beledweyne lawmaker, Dahir us Hesow, tells the BBC that almost seven gunmen are at the hotel.
“It is necessary to bring forces with strong weapons to neutralize the situation,” he said.
Hotel segments were lowered by rubble while government forces and gunmen bought fire, businessman Ali Suleiman, witnessed attack.
“We heard a large eruption followed by the weapon, then another explosion was heard,” he said.
It is unclear how many people were injured, but the lawmaker said they were trying to organize for planes to fly to Mogadishu care victims for treatment.
