Snoop Dogg’s daughter Cori mourns baby’s death after 10-month NICU stay


Snoop Doggthe daughter of Corey Broadus is mourning the death of her baby girl Codi just 20 days after the baby was discharged from the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) after a 10-month stay.

“On Monday, I lost the love of my life. My Code,” Broadus wrote via her Instagram Stories on Saturday, January 31, along with a black and white photo of the mother holding her baby girl in the hospital.

In a later post also shared via her Instagram stories, Broadus re-shared her Instagram post celebrating her daughter’s release from the NICU less than a month ago.

“20 days later? Dawg I’m sick,” she wrote.

In the original post, Broadus, one of famous rapper Snoop Dogg’s three children with his wife. Shante Broadusthanked fans and followers for their thoughts and prayers during her daughter’s months-long hospital stay. Codi was born in February 2025, three months before Broadus’s due date. According to the Mayo Clinica baby born before 28 weeks’ gestation is considered extremely premature and may experience a variety of health problems as a result, including breathing problems, feeding problems, and difficulty regulating body temperature.

“He’s home,” the mom wrote on Jan. 6 via Instagram, along with photos and videos of the couple in bed, cuddling, after the baby’s 10-month hospitalization. “Thank you for every prayer, every message, every ounce of love. God heard them all.”

“This girl is such a fighter,” he said we at that time “This girl is a fighter. She is so resilient and strong. She has a lot of character. The doctors and nurses always tell me, ‘Your baby has made up her mind.’ He is intelligent. He is alert. He knows what’s going on. can hear can see Yes, the circumstances are not what you thought would be worse, but it could be worse. That girl is just a sweet little firecracker.”

She continued: “The NICU is a different kind of experience, as you should know, and it’s not an easy place to be, but the support is amazing. Sometimes I go in (to the NICU) and I can’t stop crying and I’m apologizing. They’re like, ‘Why (apologizing)? This is normal. If you were worried, we wouldn’t be so worried.” Try to stay close and keep hope alive.”

Fifty-six studies of more than 6,000 parents found that approximately 40-50 percent of parents with children in the NICU experience higher rates of anxiety, depression, and acute stress, with mothers reporting higher rates than fathers.

Snoop Dogg’s daughter Cori Broadus has a lot to look forward to in the coming weeks, including the impending birth of her first baby with fiancé Wayne Deuce. “This morning, I had a moment because this baby that came in after I had my baby, went home today and I broke down,” Broadus shared in September 2025 about her time in the NICU. “Of course I’m happy. I’m ecstatic (for them), but it’s like, ‘Damn! You guys go home. Our baby is still here. But then it comes back to my faith. You have to trust God and His plan. Everyone’s plan looks a little different. She will come home. Our journey home looks a little different than the next baby and so on.”

Broadus, who herself suffered a stroke at age 24 and was diagnosed with lupus at age 6, said we who has relied on her faith to keep her spirits high and her fears low through all the challenges she has faced in life.

“What really brought me closer to God was after I had my stroke,” he recalled we. “I said to Him, ‘God, if you get me out of here, I’m going to tell the world about all of you and I’m going to tell the world that you’re real.’ And He did just that. And He brings me through.”
