Sister Wives’ Robyn Denies She’s ‘Submissive’ To Kody Read More Reunion

Robyn Brown clapped back against claims that she is “submissive” to her husband Kody Brown — and recovered the narrative — in the first Sister Wives: 1 vs 1 special meeting

During season 20 of the TLC series, Janelle Brown he joked Mary Brown that his ex Kody’s “type”. he must be “submissive” after his first three wives spoke out against him and eventually left their marriages. (Kody’s ex Christine Brown was relatively quiet on the subject and during the first part of the meeting.)

Robyn, 47, denied there was any truth to the allegations in the episode on Sunday, January 11. “No… I think I work with my husband,” she told the meeting host She likes Krishnan.

When asked if she thought Meri, 54, and Janelle, 56, were playing “girl games” when they teased her during this season’s Zoom call, Robyn replied, “I don’t care.”

“I think they’re just trying to figure out why Kody loves me,” Robyn said as a possible reason for Kody’s exes hitting on her on the show.

She claimed: “They do everything they can to minimize me, to belittle me in any way, shape or form that they can because they’re struggling with their own feelings. I guess. I don’t really know why.”

Robyn previously said no “endorse falsehood” after a frosty meeting with Janelle and Meri about her Coyote Pass property. Kody, meanwhile, claimed that his spouse “hates girl games,” which raised eyebrows from fans and Kody’s exes.

“It’s psychological warfare. The stuff teenage girls do a lot in high school,” Robyn explained during the girls’ games meeting. “It’s the backstabbing. It’s the whispering. It’s pretending you’re friends when you’re not.”

Janelle and Meri, however, he denied that they were playing any games with Robyn or that they were teaming up against her while handling the sale of their joint property in Arizona.

Kody is Team Robyn, always

“Robyn’s not submissive. She has a backbone of concrete and steel,” Kody, 56, said on Sunday’s episode after rewatching Janelle’s comments on the show. “It’s funny that Janelle said Robyn is submissive when Janelle also accused her of brainwashing me or controlling me.”

He joked: “It’s like, what’s up, Janelle? Am I Robyn’s puppet or is she mine?” Kody stated that he and Robyn are “an association” which “negotiates through things”.

Janelle doubles down on her “submissive” claims.

When asked about calling Robyn “submissive” during her vent to Meri, Janelle said, “I think you can give power to get power.”

Janelle clarified that she “didn’t call” Robyn Kody’s “puppet master” as she alleged.

“I don’t think he sees it that way. But from the outside, it looks like she’s a very strong influence in his life,” he explained. “Hey, they’re married. They’re this match made in heaven, whatever. Maybe that’s how it works.”

La Meri does not want to be part of the ‘Ex-Wives Club’

While Janelle referred to their Zoom call earlier this season as an “ex-wives club” meeting, Meri told Krishnan that she had no desire to associate with Janelle or Christine, 53, in that way.

“I’m not going to be a member of the ex-wives club,” Meri declared. “I don’t think it’s a club you should have. Janelle and Christine have their friendship and theirs. I’m not a part of it, and I don’t want to be.”

She pointed to “different value systems” as the main reason she distanced herself from her former sister wives.

“I recognize that more and more,” Meri continued. “And I think as adults, it’s really great to be in a place where we can choose who we want to interact with.”

Janelle calls BS on Robyn’s reason for not selling Coyote Pass

Robyn detailed why she felt she was “betraying” the family selling Coyote Pass — even though the family had already split up.

“When we bought Coyote Pass, it was the dream for the family to be out there and I was very much like this is our family and I was very invested and I really wanted us to be out there,” he shared. “When I married Kody, I was 1,000 percent. It was about being together as a family and I could see us out there. So it was really hard for me to give it up, even though everyone else was.”

Janelle, however, claimed that Robyn’s reluctance to sell was just a matter of perception. “That’s bulls***,” Janelle claimed. “I think that’s what she thinks (is) the role she has to play.”

She alleged: “Sometimes I think he says what he thinks he should say because I don’t think he really feels that way. I just feel like there’s a lot of things like, ‘Well, I’m supposed to be the family and I’m so sad that it’s broken up.’ So I have to play this role.”

Kody and Janelle point the finger, blame

During the first part of the meeting, Kody and Janelle pointed each other for their alleged “backdoor deal” to sell Coyote Pass with or without Meri’s consent. Although the group, which also included Robyn, eventually agreed on a price and deal together, Kody claimed that Janelle wanted to eliminate Meri in order to get the deal.

“It wasn’t my idea,” Kody claimed. “Janelle came to me with the idea that she could force a sale on this and then she started pressuring me.” He claimed it was “a stab in the back of Janelle,” but insisted because he was “already in a war with Meri” that he wasn’t a stabber.

Janelle, meanwhile, denied the accusations. He claimed his lawyers told him they “might want to consider just trying to get the sale to go through” and said Kody on this tip.

“I really wanted to try to make this work,” he alleged.

Meri, however, was not convinced on either account. “I think Kody and Janelle were trying to push me out somehow,” she said.

Breaking the confidentiality agreement

When it comes to why Meri was dragging her feet for the sale of the landboth she and Janelle said it was the surprise non-disclosure agreement that Robyn allegedly put on them at the last minute.

Janelle alleged that when she and Kody received their first written offer, Meri “completed the signatures on the title work in like a week” and sent the checks right away. He claimed that just as the contract was “about to expire”, Robyn said: “Oh, I won’t unless you guys sign this non-disclosure agreement.”

The supposed ultimatum sent Janelle and Meri off to “hang out” with Janelle claiming it felt like a “total power play” from Robyn. He noted that the agreement expired because they could not agree on the confidentiality clause.

“It was about silencing me. It was about confidentiality. They didn’t want me to talk and I didn’t know why,” Meri said of the situation. “So when they say, ‘Meri was stopping it, Meri was stopping it.’ Damn right I was because I’m not going to shut up again. I’m not going to be shut up anymore. And I don’t think he likes that.”

Part 2 of Sister Wives: 1 vs 1 airs on TLC Sunday, January 18 at 10:00 PM ET.
