Kody Brown he put everything on the table Sister Wives while expressing remorse Robyn Brown to put their relationship on the backburner while they process their three breakups.
“Robyn and I are fighting for our marriage and our life together,” Kody, 56, confessed to the cameras on the Sunday, Jan. 4, episode of the TLC series. “We’ve been four years or more apart from the family.”
Kody admitted, “I guess what I’m saying is Robyn and I have a great relationship when I’m me. When I’m brave and kind.”
How Kody got real on Sunday’s episode about how much he prioritized making amends with ex-wives Mary Brown, Janelle Brown i Christine BrownRobyn, 47, had her own moment about her relationship moving forward. (Kody’s first three marriages ended back-to-back, with Christine, 53, leaving him in 2021. Janelle, 56, announced her split from Kody in 2022, and Meri, 54, confirmed their split the following year.)
“There’s such a difference in Kody now that he’s apologized,” she explained during a confessional. “There’s like a piece of him that I haven’t seen in a long time.”
Although Robyn acknowledged that Kody had made strides after that the apology tour of his ex-wives – apologized for his mistakes and rude comments on multiple occasions Sister Wives episodes, he said he sometimes goes back.
“We go through these periods where he’s back to himself and we’re just who we usually are in our relationship and it’s so beautiful,” Robyn shared. “We’re having a great time and then something happens and he’s back, back to the angry divorced guy.”
Kody, however, remained adamant that he was ready to fight to keep Robyn happy and improve their lives.
“I apologize for not trusting you, though you have my trust,” Kody revealed, to which Robyn replied, “You’ve got mine.”
Robyn, who shares two children with Kody, noted that while she “got frustrated and angry” most of the time, she always saw him trying “really hard to do well.” (Kody also adopted Robyn’s three older children of his first marriage.)

Joe Pugliese/TLC/Everett Collection“I feel 100 percent that Kody is meeting with his ex-wives and apologizing on his part it was a good thing,” she told the cameras. “I hope, I’m praying that this goes a long way to any kind of healing that we can achieve in the future as a family.”
Robyn got choked up during her chat with Kody, telling him, “I always knew I was going to come back here.”
Kody thanked his partner for ‘believing in me’ before asking her the one thing he couldn’t ask for Mary, Janelle or Christine during his apologies.
“Do you forgive me?” Kody asked. Robyn cried and replied, “Yes. Yes. Yes, I did what was happening.”
She explained: “There’s a lot of charity that I’ve had for you through all of this, because I’ve been through my own divorce and I know how toxic it can get.”
Kody agreed, calling their three splits a “crazy” and “scary” time in his life.
When Kody and Robyn decided to move forward with their monogamous relationship, Janelle celebrated the end of her marriage after getting a spiritual release from the church.
“I’m free. I’m free. I’m free,” Janelle declared during the Sister Wives episode, revealing that the church elders were “very kind” and granted him release at the time.
“When I left, I felt a little free. I felt like a weight had been lifted off me,” she explained. “So somewhere in the back of my mind, this must have been more important than I realized it was.”
Janelle later reunited with former sister-in-law Meri, who was granted a spiritual release shortly after splitting from Kody, to toast her next chapter. The women drank Turkish coffee at a restaurant and talked about how relieved they are now that they’re not attached to Kody at all.
Janelle ended her celebration by attending a “divorce party.” BFF Christine they threw for her with their sisters and friends.
“I have some flowers so everyone can make their own flower arrangement. There are temporary tattoos. We have them in case Janelle wants a tattoo today,” Christine cheekily revealed. “And then there’s, like, a spicy bar. We’ll see how spicy she’s willing to go.”
Janelle ended up getting a temporary tattoo, a rainbow lion on her neck, and walked into the salsa bar, which Christine set up.
“Even though I’ve only officially been divorced for a few hours, it feels like I’ve been divorced a lot longer,” Janelle revealed, noting that she’s not ready for a new romance just yet.
