Christine Brown broke the reason why he cut ties with Robyn Brown before parting with Kody Brown in the latest episode of Sister Wives.
“I feel betrayed by Robyn. I just betrayed,” Christine, 53, told her husband. David Woolley on the Sunday, Nov. 2, episode of the TLC series when he was asked where he is with his former female sisters. “I felt like I could never trust her, ever.”
Christine recalled, “There are things I confided in her, and then I would tell Kody and get in trouble. I couldn’t trust her.”
During a confessional, Christine expanded his problems with Robyn47, nearly four years after she and Kody, 56, called it quits in November 2021.
“There (were) just a couple of times where I would trust her and tell her things that I thought were trustworthy, and then I’d get in trouble and Kody would get mad,” Christine added. “I can’t trust her. So I stopped trusting her.”
Robyn acknowledged that telling Kody about her and Christine’s conversations didn’t bode well for their friendship, but claimed that she was just doing what she thought was right.
“Christine was saying to me, ‘I wish Kody knew this. I wish Kody would understand. I’m struggling with it,” Robyn recalled. “Being kind of a naive fool, I thought I might help, but I should have stayed out completely.”
Kody, on the other hand, saw Robyn’s actions as a way to help the family.
“I think it’s very common that Robyn always stood up for all (the women) – Christine and all my other women. I wanted all those relationships to be good,” he stated.
Christine, who noted that she is in a “great” relationship Janelle Brown – said he had a similar experience Mary Brown. (Janelle, 56, confirmed her split from Kody in 2022, and Meri, 54, announced in 2023 that she and Kody had split as well.)
“Robyn messed with my head. I cut it off. Meri messed with me. I cut it off,” Christine told David on Sunday’s episode.
Christine then recalled one time when one of the women asked her if they were “going to be friends” two months after they were allegedly “hurt” with her, which didn’t sit well with the mother of six.
“I said, ‘Girl, you were mean to me two months ago. you were bad. No, I’m not going to be friends with you,’” Christine said of the conversation, which appears to be with Robyn or Meri.
Meanwhile, Meri told the cameras that “over the years, we’ve all been involved in hurt and disappointment,” but stopped short of expanding on her and Christine’s past issues.
When it comes to her relationship with Robyn, Christine made it clear to her husband that she has no interest in rebuilding anything.
“I’m not going to be friends with people who will hurt me and hurt others I love,” Christine explained, noting, “I’d love to be closer to Robyn’s kids.”
Christine added that once Robyn’s children are grown, she would “love a relationship with them”, claiming that she “never intended to end it” with Robyn’s children when she left the family. (Shared by Robyn Dayton, 25, Aurora, 23, and Breanna, 21with her first husband. She and Kody share son Solomon, 14, and daughter Ariella, 9.)
“With her, yes, I was done, but not with her children,” explained Christine.
Despite not being friends with Robyn or Meri at the time of filming, Christine said she was open to “finally” doing a family meeting with everyone Robyn, however, expressed concern about the idea.
“There’s a lot of toxicity in this family. A lot. It’s a lot of talk. There’s a lot of nasty behavior back and forth,” Robyn told the cameras. “I don’t think throwing us in a room together and seeing what happens, I mean, that’s like, is a bad idea.”
Sister Wives airs Sundays on TLC at 10:00 PM ET.
