Shipping containers lost: onions, plastic pellets and phones wash ashore




Every year, 250 million containers travel across the ocean. But some never reach port. Many are lost in storms, falling off cargo ships and polluting our shores. Just a few weeks ago, beaches in southern England were covered in thousands of onions and frozen fries by the truckload. Almost 30 tons of plastic pellets also washed up on Spanish beaches after six containers fell off a Norwegian ship. Our colleagues from France 2 report.
