Football Coach of the University of South Carolina Shane Beamer He had very serious businesses to address during a pre -season press conference with journalists.
“I have a statement to do,” said Beamer, 48 Tuesday, August 12. “I think my wife is making some undue criticism about the cookies he does.”
Beamer referred to Netflix’s Episode 5 SEC Football: Any Saturday givenin which his wife, EmilyIt was seen doing some homemade cookies that did not meet the standards of all viewers.
“He has actually had people who have contacted him … saying he is not cooking the cookies for enough time,” said Shane. “Much respect for the people who took the time to contact -to criticize it for their cookies.”
Shane added, “Cookies are the freakin bomb so you know. I have my girl’s back.”
In fact, Shane explained that his wife’s cookies have been a long -term tradition at all coaching stops throughout his career.
“She has been doing these cookies (since then) I was a helper coach,” she said. “He has been manufacturing these cookies for my position group I trained: the backs to Virginia Tech or the ends adjusted to Georgia or the ends adjusted to Oklahoma.”
Emily now makes cookies every Thursday for members of the football building of the University of South Carolina.
“People who went to Instagram to criticize -saying -not cooking them enough, come here on a Thursday after practice when I left these cookies out and see how quickly it was left and left,” said Shane. “Because they have happened in about five minutes.”
He added: “The cookies are impressive. It is cooking them in the right way.”
Shane and Emily were married in 2006 and shared daughters SoonAnd Olive15, and son Hunter12.
The couple took place around the holidays in 2005 during the time of Shane as a coach helping the state of Mississippi.
“We returned to the room after dinner to exchange Christmas gifts,” Emily recalled in a recent interview with Metropolitan Columbia Magazine. “My first gift was a small jewelry box.” After opening, he said to me, “I’m sorry to give -I know he probably made you think it was something else. Then the timbre sounded, and it was a Bellman with a different box. When I turned, Shane was on a knee. There were rose petals and candles.”
Emily added, “I don’t even know how he turned it on so fast. He did an incredible job with that.”
