Katie Hoofnagle shared a Seahawks post via his Instagram story on Sunday, Nov. 2, which boasted Darnold’s impressive stats from the team’s 38-14 win over the Washington Commanders.
Hoofnagle commented: “😮💨😮💨😮💨.”
The publication highlighted Darnold’s performance Sunday night, which saw him finish 21 of 24 for 330 yards and a touchdown.

According to the Associated PressDarnold, 28, became just the second quarterback since 1991, including the playoffs, to complete all of his passes with four or more touchdown passes in the first half.
“Obviously, I can feel the flow of the game and understand that we’re doing really well on offense, but no, I didn’t know I didn’t throw an incompletion,” Darnold told reporters after the game. “It was pretty cool. At halftime, somebody told me he didn’t throw a fumble, so I think he’s to blame for throwing a fumble in the second half.”
Darnold added with a smile, “I won’t say who it was.”
The win improved the Seahawks’ record to 6-2, good for a tie atop the NFC standings with the Los Angeles Rams, Philadelphia Eagles and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Darnold and Hoofnagle became engaged in July, roughly four months after the quarterback signed a three-year, $100.5 million contract with Seattle.
“Here’s to forever together,” Hoofnagle announced via Instagram after Darnold popped the question.
Earlier this year, Darnold exclusively sprung Us Weekly about the “amazing” support of Hoofnagle, a former University of South Carolina club football player, throughout his journey to the NFL.
“You know, the fact that she just gets it,” Darnold told Us . “She’s a former athlete, and she just gets used to everything. When I just want to relax, she’s really up for it, especially during the season.”
She added: “He’s great. He’s always been my biggest supporter. And I love him and thank him all the time.”
The Seahawks are Darnold’s sixth NFL team since being selected with the third overall pick by the New York Jets in the 2018 NFL Draft. The quarterback has also played for the Carolina Panthers, San Francisco 49ers and most recently helped lead the Minnesota Vikings to a 14-3 record in 2024.
“We have lives, we have families, we have everything just like everybody else,” Darnold said of life in the league. “Anytime we’re on a one-year deal, like, yeah, it’s great. I understand that playing in the NFL is great and I love every second of it. But when you have these one-year deals, which a lot of guys in the NFL have, you’re always in the back of your head thinking, ‘OK, where am I going to play next?’
Darnold added, “I don’t even have kids of my own, but I know a lot of guys who have kids. So when you factor that into trying to move around and find your way around all these cities, it can be tough.”
The Seahawks return to action when they host the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, November 9th.
