Savannah Guthrie’s sister’s house was searched amid the mother’s disappearance

While an officer was reportedly seen carrying a silver briefcase into the home, it remains unclear why investigators were conducting another search of the property or if they found any additional evidence related to Nancy’s possible whereabouts.

The house is one of the last places Nancy, 84, was seen after having dinner with Annie and her husband on January 31. Her son-in-law allegedly drove her to his home in Catalina Foothills shortly before 10pm that night. The next day, she was reported missing after he didn’t show up at church…

Since then, her disappearance has been treated as a crime investigation and a possible kidnapping. Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos also explained exclusively we who is believed to be Nancy taken while sleeping.

“Something something unusual happened in that house that made us say, ‘Wow, something’s not right here. Something doesn’t add up,’” he said on Monday, February 2. “We’re going to pull out all the stops and go at it from every angle. We really hope it’s a search and rescue mission and we find her safe and sound. But it would be unfair if we didn’t look at what’s in front of us and say: ‘We have to act'”.

On Sunday, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department further confirmed that the investigation into the shocking disappearance of the 84-year-old man is ongoing with no major leads on who or why he was taken.

“Tracking continues at multiple locations. No suspects, persons of interest or vehicles identified,” shared a post on X to read “There are no press conferences scheduled. If there are any significant developments in the case, a press conference will be called.”

Following Nancy’s disappearance, a purported ransom note was sent to various media outlets. How we As previously reported, the person or persons who allegedly took Nancy are demanding $6 million in bitcoins for his safe return, according to Tucson ABC affiliate KGUN9.

Saturday night, Nancy’s children, Savannah, Cameron and Annie – he pleaded with his alleged captor or kidnappers to let her go in a heartbreaking video shared on Instagram.

“We got your message and we understand. Now we’re asking you to bring our mom back to us so we can celebrate with her,” Savannah said as she held her brothers hands. “This is the only way to have peace. This is very valuable to us and we will pay.”

Their latest video message comes days after the Guthries publicly said they were “ready to talk” with the alleged kidnappers and demanded proof their mother was OK.

“We live in a world where voices and images are easily manipulated,” Savannah said at the time. “We need to know without a doubt that she is alive and that you have her. We want to hear from you and we are willing to listen. Please contact us.”
