Nanos confirmed that Annie, Savannah’s older sister, was the one last person who saw Nancy84 years old, before his reported disappearance. (Nancy shared daughters Annie and Savannah54 and son Cameron Guthrie with deceased husband Charles Guthriewho died after a heart attack at age 49.)

The sheriff noted that Annie did not raise any “red flags” about her mother’s behavior during their last interaction.

According to Nanos, Nancy’s family members “were not alerted to her (missing) until 11 a.m.” the next day, while the police were not called until 12:15 p.m. on Sunday, February 1. As a result, officials are looking into a timeline of “from 9:30 p.m. to 11 (am)” as a window of when Nancy disappeared.

“This is an 84-year-old lady who is out of danger his own sleepy houseand is taken This should never happen,” Nanos said wepointing out that Savannah didn’t “making any concerns” about his mother’s health before her disappearance.

News broke Sunday that Nancy’s whereabouts were unknown after officials received a 911 call that morning from a concerned family member.

“This is very troubling to us. We don’t normally bring the sheriff out on a scene like this. But it’s very troubling what we’re learning from the house,” Sheriff Nanos said at a news conference Sunday about the case. “And so we’ll continue. The detective’s homicide team is out right now looking at the scene as well.”

He explained, “We’ve pretty much just thrown everything we can,” adding that Nancy “isn’t in good physical health, so it’s a big concern.”

Nanos later added at the press conference that Nancy “doesn’t have any cognitive problems.”

Nanos confirmed that law enforcement “did not rule out” foul play and had formally opened a criminal investigation into Nancy’s disappearance.

During a second press conference, authorities revealed that because of the crime scene, Nancy’s home in Tucson, Arizona, they believe she “didn’t leave by herself.”

Police added that they were looking at Nancy’s case not as “a search mission so much” as a crime.
