Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) will visit Washington, DC later this month for an official working meeting with the US President. Donald TrumpA White House official said it was the Saudi Arabian leader’s second visit to the United States capital in seven years.
News outlets had previously reported on the crown prince’s visit to the White House, but Reuters was the first to report on Monday that the meeting would take place on November 18.

The visit by the Saudi royal family comes as Trump pushes countries to join the Abraham Accords.
In 2020, Trump signed agreements with the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Sudan, and Morocco to normalize relations with Israel. But Saudi Arabia has consistently said that normalizing relations with Israel depends on a clear path to the creation of a Palestinian state alongside Israel.
In an interview that aired Sunday, Trump told CBS News’ 60 Minutes program that he believed Saudi Arabia would eventually join the deal.
An unnamed senior Trump administration official told Reuters news agency that “there are discussions about signing something when the crown prince arrives, but details are in flux”.
The Financial Times reported two weeks ago that there was hope the two countries could sign one Protection Agreement During the visit of MBS.
Saudi Arabia and the US have maintained strong ties in the defense sector for decades.
During Trump’s visit to Riyadh in May, the US agreed to sell to Saudi Arabia An arms package worth about $142 billion.
During his first term as president in 2017, Trump similarly included Saudi Arabia in his first major foreign trip, a trip that similarly led to a multibillion-dollar arms deal.
During Trump’s first term, MBS visited the White House and toured several US cities.
