Coach Bob Santos isn’t selling the hope. He is writing a comparison. In his opinion, Mario Barrios would beat Ryan Garcia if Barrios was shown to be right. Santos is no longer in Barrios’ corner. Barrios moved to Joe Goossen for this camp, the same coach Garcia worked with earlier in his career. Santos is speaking from abroad now, but from a normal position. He knows where Barrios’ version is, even if he’s no longer responsible for bringing it out.
