Russian and Ukrainian negotiators meet for US-brokered talks




Russian and Ukrainian negotiators began new US-brokered talks in Geneva on Tuesday in a bid to end the four-year war, hours after both sides launched a new wave of protracted strikes. US President Donald Trump is seeking to position himself as a peacemaker in the conflict that was sparked when Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022, but previous rounds of talks mediated by the White House have not produced any progress.
