The Sudanese Paramilitital Group Rapid Support Forces (RSF) struck the shrinking town of El-Faster on Friday a war telling BBC.
The RSF fighters captured a cattle market, a prison and military bases while spreading the videos of their members walking empty stockyards.
This is the first time the city fights entered mostly from El-Fasther’s siege – an ongoing war for control Western Darfur City – started 15 months ago.
On Saturday morning, the army repented and succeeded in pushing the RSF back to El-Faster’s limitations. But Mathilde Vu, from the Norwegian refugee council (NRC), describes the city as a “death of the trap”.
“What we hear are the stories of horror and horror and weekly attacks, civilian infrastructure attacks,” Ms Vu told the BBC Newshaan program.
“There are local volunteers – they really eagerly, risk their life every day to try and give a little food for people most hungry.”
Sidpig Omar, a 65-year-old El-Fasther resident, told the BBC that the RSF entered the city on Friday from the south and southwest.
The RSF, whose warriors spilled the trenches were dug around the city, always attacked El-faster. According to the army, it is their 220 offensive.
But this time, in a war running for seven hours, they control the city market, closed for business for many months.
From here, they broadcast videos of their warriors surrounding empty stockyards. They quickly imprisoned Shalala prison and the head of the central military military force.
On Saturday morning, the army repented and succeeded in pushing the RSF back to the city limits, saying it was imposed “heavy loss” in the paramilitary group.
But Mr. Omar said to shelling RSF – using drones – continued on Saturday.
“One of the shells hits a civilian car near my house resulting in the death of five civilians inside the car,” he said.
Sudan fell into a civil war on April 2023 after a fierce struggle for the power that occurred between its army and RSF.
It leads a hunger and claim of a genocide in the region of the Caundry Darfur.
More than 150,000 people die in conflict all over the country, and about 12 million people fled their homes in the United Nations call the largest humanitarian crisis.
El-Faster is the only city of Darfur controlled by the military. But a Blackout Communication has made the confirmation of information from the surrounding town, as those with satellite connections contact.
The most recent RSF offensive follows the artillery weeks and drone attacks. The group recently started using large drone plane.
The army accuses the United Arab Emirates (UAE) funding RSF, an allegation that is denied by the oil-held oil-led oil.
This weekend attack comes three months after RSF overran Zamzam Camp outside El-Faster. This is the greatest country’s transfer camp and many of these residents escaped the el-fashir or attempted to carry it on, 60km (about 40 miles).
Ms. Vu, Manday in NRC’s Adbokasya in Sudan, said the team of the call continued to hear the terrible stories as people seek to find safety.
“The people who flee at night by the foot, the donkeys – trying to escape the armed men who focus them on, maybe they were raped,” he said.
“We’re up to the people to the people who are thirsty, without eating for many weeks.”
Nearly 379,000 people have fled now to call, where they face a cholera blow and expect heavy rains that are likely to destroy hedhift shows.
This week, El-foadler residents told the BBC Arabic emergency program more about their awful condition.
“Now, we suffer greatly, and all around us faced the same adversity,” a man said.
“No bread, no food, and no job found. Even if you have any money, no one can use the markets to buy.
“If there is sick, we do not find any medicine or treatment.
“No drugs in hospitals. The situation here is real terrible.”
Another person said until recently, residents are dependent on something called “ombaz”, a waste of food left after the oil shells from peanut shells.
“We are in a critical situation,” he said.
“Even the ombaz is no longer available, because peanut factories stopped working.
“We call for help – please, we need to need help.”
Ms. Vu took the abundance of the international community to go involvement in the fighters of the parties and their creators.
“Fund is completely reduced and the result is that you see it on the ground,” he said.
“People (in El-Faster) just rely on others’ unity.
“If they have a little food, they share it themselves.”
Last week, the International Criminal Court (ICC) said there “Reasonable bases” believes in war crimes and crimes against the people made by Darfur.
The allegations continued the crimes of war in the past two years, and in January 2025 the US was determined that the RSF and allies Militias against the non-arab regions of the region.
