Lake Ricki is celebrating her wedding anniversary with Ross Burningham after 2025 “rocked” his world.
“Happy 4 year anniversary to us!!!!! We met when we least expected it, during the darkest days of Covid, both in our 50’s. We should never have crossed paths but the stars aligned. Thanks Gem! 💎,” Lake, 57, wrote. via Instagram on Saturday January 3.
Lake and Burningham married in 2022 after going on a blind date. She was previously married to a jewelry designer Christian Evans from 2012 to 2015 and illustrator Rob Sussman from 1994 to 2003, with whom he shares sons Milo, 28, and Owen, 24.
“Ross, I love doing life with you. So grateful for each and every day we share together,” Lake continued on Saturday in her social media tribute, which included a carousel of photos of the couple. “This year has rocked our world like no other and yet through our committed partnership and bond we have managed to rise from the ashes, literally and spin, and still find joy and wonder in all of life’s surprises and difficulties. I am so proud of how we have come together and created a new and exciting next chapter for us, saying, 4 years ago today in New York. Since then, the 2026 will be good.
Almost a year ago, Lake and Burningham lost their Malibu home in the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles. He documented how flames engulfed the property in a shared video via Instagram at that time.
“1/25/25 The day we lost our home. 😭💔 Timeline of our efforts to save our beloved home in Malibu,” Lake wrote in the caption. “11:24am first signs of smoke in Temescal Canyon 11:54am installing our fire protection system. 4:10pm Ross pouring out our neighbors palm tree (baller move) 6:17pm Ross trying to draw gas for the fire protection system engine. In a second videoshowed more footage of the oncoming fires, writing: “We finally gave up and left the house at 8:02pm. Grateful to make it out alive and unharmed. Forever grateful to @kirbykotler_, our absolute angel. He did everything he could to try and save our precious property. Definitely if we hadn’t all survived, we wouldn’t have stayed. Love and well wishes, please pray for those affected by this catastrophic event and help our brave firefighters and first responders 🙏💔😭💞.
Lake and Burningham later moved to New York City and she said people has been “taking a bite out of this city in a way I never did when I left 22 years ago after my show ended. It’s wild.” (He hosted his self-titled talk show from 1993 to 2004.)
