The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Mary Cosby’the son, Robert Cosby Jr., pleaded guilty to breaking and entering months after several incidents with his estranged wife, Alexandria Cosbyand his father, Us Weekly can inform
On Nov. 25, Robert pleaded guilty to assault, trespassing and violating a protective order, according to court documents obtained by we.
Several other charges filed against Robert were dropped, People reported.
The judge denied Robert’s request to be released. He will remain behind bars until his sentencing in February.
Robert was arrested on September 5 following an incident involving his wife, identified as AS in the documents. Court documents note that Robert, 22, and AS are separated. AS currently lives with her parents and Robert lives at a different address.
Police said Robert entered the home and refused to come out. The report states: “The arrestee was previously notified by his wife and the homeowner that he was not welcome at the residence; both individuals showed me text message conversations indicating that he was not allowed to enter the home, to which the arrestee had responded in acknowledgment.”
The report said Robert arrived home and entered the backyard through a door that was closed and locked. He then entered the house through a dog door and went into his wife’s bedroom, “making her fear for her safety, where he remained although both his wife and his wife’s father asked him to leave.”
An officer said Robert admitted he was told he couldn’t be home and entered the house through the dog door.
The report said: “Because the person arrested entered a residence despite being told he was not welcome in the residence and remained inside the residence, causing his wife to fear for her safety, he was arrested for criminal trespass to a dwelling, with an enhancement of domestic violence.”

As part of his release from prison, Robert agreed not to contact his estranged wife. However, officers said he sent her two text messages on September 6 and five messages on September 7.
Later, on September 7, Robert turned up a second time at his estranged wife’s house.
Court documents reveal that officers from the Taylorsville Police Department in Utah were dispatched to an alleged domestic violence incident.
The caller said Robert was trying to get into his father-in-law’s house, identified as SS, and that it was SS in the front yard of the house.
The agent arrived at the place where the SS identified Robert. The officer said he told Robert to “stop” and “Get down,” but he did not comply. Eventually, Robert complied and was arrested.
A witness told police that Robert tried to enter the house he shared with the SS through the “back door and that his head and torso were inside the residence.” The witness said she called SS, which caused Robert to back out the doggy door and run into the front yard. The witness said that the SS confronted Robert and that Robert threw “multiple punches” at him.
SS told police that Robert punched her several times. The report noted that SS had “red marks on both ears, a laceration on his left ear and red marks on his torso.”
An officer said they found Robert had sent text messages to his wife, listed as AS, who lived with SS Robert’s wife, who was present when the incident occurred.
Court records show Robert was jailed on Sept. 9.
On November 24, Robert’s estranged wife, Alexandria, filed for divorce.
Robert’s lawyer Clayton Simms he said people“Understanding and acknowledging the relationship was difficult for Robert because of his religion and his background. For him, marriage is sacred and forever.”
His lawyer added: “His parents set an example for him and they have been married for 27 years. Robert was slow to acknowledge and accept that his marriage was over and continued to connect with his soon-to-be ex-wife. Robert has accepted responsibility for his mistakes and pleaded guilty to several misdemeanors.”
Mary, 52, opened up about her son on a September 10 podcast. She said she was “doing the best she could” after recently getting sober.
Robert spoke honestly about his struggle with drugs activated RHOSLC. It finally completed a period of rehabilitation in 2024.
